Deluxe Bundle for The Sword’s Apocryphon Available to Order

September 16, 2012 by A.S. Van Dorston

The Sword are offering a limited edition bundle (500 units), available for pre-order until October 1 and shipping October 16 for their fourth album, Apocryphon, out on October 22. If $75 seems steep to you, well, check out the video which shows the craft going into having cool glow-in-the-dark occulty symbols and type showing up on the posters (with art by famed comic book artist J.H. Williams III (Batwoman, Promethea). I knew with all these bands referencing 70s analog sounds, they would eventually get around to black light posters. Makes me I wish I hung onto the extra large black light I had as a teenager.

Apocryphon is the first release featuring new drummer, Santiago Vela III. Produced by J. Robbins (Clutch, Jawbox), Apocryphon embodies everything that The Sword has come to be known for: massive riffs, piercing melodies, and a southern swagger few can rival. Bonus  tracks includes a ZZ Top cover.
